Port of Beirut enables electronic fee payments through OMT

As part of its efforts to modernize services and simplify payment procedures, the Management and Operation of the Port of Beirut, represented by Chairman and General Manager Marwan Naffi, signed a cooperation agreement with OMT, represented by Chief Executive Officer Naji Abou Zeid. Under the agreement, Port of Beirut customers can pay their fees through OMT Pay app or at any OMT location.

During the signing ceremony held at the Port of Beirut, Naffi said: " Introducing electronic fee payments marks an important step in modernizing the Port of Beirut and expanding its digital services. It also reflects the administration's commitment to improving operations and adopting advanced technologies in line with international best practices in port management".

For his part, Abou Zeid said: "For more than 27 years, OMT has invested in building an extensive service network and a robust operational infrastructure that serves both individuals and businesses. Today, we are proud to bring that expertise to the Port of Beirut, and we hope this step marks the beginning of a broader journey toward more efficient, flexible, and digitally enabled public services".

The agreement is a practical example of public-private cooperation that supports the modernization of public services and expands digital payment options.
