Prior Approval for Male & Female Housekeepers

In partnership with the Ministry of Labor, OMT offers its customers the possibility to submit the Initial Approval request for Expat Housekeepers (Categories 3 – 4) through more than 1000 locations in Lebanon.

The required documents to submit a prior approval request for a female housekeeper (category 4)

Request submitted by the sponsor:

1- A colored copy of the expat’s passport, valid* for at least 18 months and 8 days.

2- A copy of the sponsor’s identification document: ID card, valid Passport, Individual Civil Status Record, a valid residency if the sponsor is an expatriate, or a Palestinian Refugee Card issued by the Lebanese Government if the sponsor is Palestinian.

3- A bank guarantee of 1,500,000 LBP issued by the Banque de l’Habitat or any commercial bank, in addition to the proof of payment.

The bank guarantee value is reduced to 150,000 LBP if the sponsor is a person with special needs.

4- Two original copies of the prior approval request printed by OMT agent and signed by the customer.

Request submitted by an employment Bureau:

1- A colored copy of the expat’s passport, valid* for at least 18 months and 8 days.

2- A copy of the sponsor’s identification document: ID card, valid Passport, Individual Civil Status Record, a valid residency if the sponsor is an expatriate, or a Palestinian Refugee Card issued by the Lebanese Government if the sponsor is Palestinian.

3- Two original copies of the prior approval request signed by the employment bureau owner and stamped.

Note:

1- It is mandatory to bring all the original documents.

2- Prior approval requests for nationals of Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Madagascar, Nigeria and Democratic Republic of Congo are not accepted.


The required documents to submit a prior approval request for a male housekeeper (category 3)

In addition to the documents required for a female housekeeper (listed above), you must provide the following:

1- An initial approval request signed by the minister.

2- A property deed or rent contract, attested by the municipality, stating that the property surface is at least 300 m2. (If the surface is not mentioned in the property deed or in the contract, it is necessary to submit a surface statement showing that the surface is at least 300 m2);

Or

A report from the attending doctor indicating that the health condition of the sponsor or a family member (residing at the address listed on the prior approval request) requires the presence of a housekeeper;

Or

A copy of the Person with Special Needs’ card issued by the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Fees for the prior approval for a female housekeeper (category 4)

Fees of the fiscal stamps on the prior approval request - first copy = 50,000 LBP

Fees of the fiscal stamps on the prior approval = 2,000 LBP

Fees of the fiscal stamps on the copies of documents = 1,000 LBP per copy

OMT Service Fees = 15,000 LBP


Fees for the prior approval for a male housekeeper (category 3)

Fees of the fiscal stamps on the prior approval request - first copy = 300,000 LBP / 75,000 LBP for Syrians

Fees of the fiscal stamps on the prior approval = 2,000 LBP

Fees of the fiscal stamps on the copies of documents = 1,000 LBP per copy

OMT Service Fees = 15,000 LBP
