The American University of Beirut (AUB) and OMT signed a new partnership agreement giving AUB students access to more than 1,200 OMT locations across Lebanon to pay their admission fees.
During the signing ceremony, AUB President Dr. Fadlo Khuri stated, “This is a dark moment in the history of this country that AUB has been fortunate to serve… but gestures and decisions and partnerships like this are the substance that helps build futures.” He added, “On behalf of AUB we’re very grateful to you for this partnership. You’re doing something against the current of what most others are doing but bravo you are doing the right thing, and history will be the judge of that.”
In turn, OMT Chairman Toufic Mouawad praised the constructive role that AUB has been playing in the Lebanese and Arab societies, and added: “We are proud to partner with the American University of Beirut, and to be a bridge between the university and students, who are the future of Lebanon. This is only a first step and we look forward to further collaboration.”
