OMT CEO takes center stage at CIO Lebanon Summit
OMT's Chief Executive Officer, Naji Abou Zeid, took center stage at the recent "Ctrl/Alt/Del: Leveraging Technology to Reboot the Economy" summit organized by the CIO Association in Lebanon, where he shared valuable insights into OMT's remarkable digital transformation journey.
Speaking at a panel discussion titled "Control: The New Mindset," Abou Zeid shed light on his leadership role in driving OMT's digital transformation, detailing the company's significant milestones achieved over the past 25 years. "For over a quarter-century, OMT has been a leader in the financial services sector, boasting a network of over 1,400 agents, offering over 170 services, and processing 18 million transactions annually," he affirmed.
Abou Zeid delved into the strategic initiatives undertaken by OMT, emphasizing the crucial role of integrating cutting-edge Al and BI tools as a foundation for this transformation. "We strategically integrated Al and BI tools to automate tasks, enhance cybersecurity, modernize real-time data analytics for insightful reporting, and strengthen AML & compliance controls," he added. He further emphasized the importance of internal capacity building and cultivating a digital-first mindset within the OMT team, essential for sustained growth and innovation.
Beyond sharing the company's success story, Abou Zeid highlighted the successful launches of innovative services such as OMT Visa Card, OMT Pay, and OMT Payroll Solutions, attributing their success to the OMT's relentless focus on digitization and customer-centric innovation. He underscored the role of OMT Pay, the all-in-one transactional mobile app, in promoting financial inclusion. "By tackling these challenges head-on, OMT has successfully navigated the complexities of digital transformation and positioned itself for continued growth in the digital age," he added.
