“Despite the global pandemic and its consequent worldwide economic crisis, Lebanese expatriates proved during the past few months to be the ultimate “support system” for the devastated Lebanese society. […] Inbound remittances through electronic money transfer companies formed around 17% of the 7 billion dollars of total inbound inflows back in 2019 while, according to various studies and forecasts, this number is expected to reach 25% in 2021.”
